How does Stomach Function affect Metabolism?

Under Chronic Stress, the Stomach increases its release of a hormone called Leptin and decreases its release of a hormone called Ghrelin. Ghrelin stimulates Stomach Acid production and the breakdown of Carbohydrates, Protein and Fats.  The imbalance leads to Heartburn, Ulcers and Obesity eventually.  Overproduction of Leptin and Underproduction of Ghrelin leads to Leptin Resistance.

How does Pancreas Function affect Metabolism?

Under Chronic Stress, the Pancreas increases its release of Glucagon and decreases its release of Insulin and Digestive Enzymes.  Glucagon signals the Liver to Raise Blood Sugar and the digestive enzymes are supposed to help digest Carbohydrates, Fats and Proteins.  Insulin plays a very important role in the way muscles metabolize Blood Sugar and clear it from circulation.  More Sugar and less Insulin is a toxic combination that leads to Insulin Resistance and Indigestion.

How does Liver Function affect Metabolism?

Under Chronic Stress the Liver releases excessive Blood Sugar, Cholesterol and Triglycerides. Prolonged exposure to the Stress Hormone Cortisol depletes the Liver of Fat Burning Hormones called Catecholamines. Too much Cortisol leads to elevated Cholesterol and Triglycerides, and eventually a condition known as Catecholamine Resistance.

THE NEXT FOUNDATION: NEURO-HORMONAL

What is the NEURO-HORMONAL FOUNDATION built on?

Optimal function of the Adrenal Glands.

Optimal Function of the Thyroid.

Optimal Function of the Sex Organs.

Optimal Function of the Brain.

How does Adrenal Function affect Neuro-Hormonal Health?

Under Chronic Stress the Adrenal glands are overactive producing excessive Cortisol {stress hormones} and Catecholamines (neurotransmitters).  Without relief these glands cannot keep up with the demand.  Homeostasis prioritizes the recovery of your Adrenal glands over you Sex Organs.   Chronic Stress often leads to sexual health issues.

How does Thyroid Function affect Neuro-Hormonal Health?

Under Chronic Stress, the thyroid consumes excessive amounts of iodine to regulate your body's energy production.  So many systems depend on the thyroid to drive the energy they need to function. As the body is depleted of iodine your gut, muscles, sex organs, brain, fat metabolism and even your hair begin to breakdown and become dysfunctional.

How does Sex Organ Function affect Neuro-Hormonal Health?

Under Chronic stress sex hormonal balance is disrupted.  Estrogen becomes more of a dominant influence over progesterone and testosterone. This imbalance triggers an inflammatory state that can turn chronic. This may cause permanent damage to the circulatory system and tissues of the breast and uterus in women and prostate in men.

How does Brain Function affect Neuro-Hormonal Health?

Under Chronic Stress the brain consumes excessive blood sugar and fatty acids. Prolonged exposure to the stress hormone Cortisol depletes the brain of neurotransmitters called Catecholamines. These neurotransmitters that also serve as hormones to the liver, gut, heart, thyroid and sex organs.
